Ugreen LinkStation dock puts desktop GPUs in your laptop’s corner

Ana sayfa / Computers

Ugreen is no longer just in the business of charging bricks and cables. With the launch of the Ugreen LinkStation, the company takes its first confident step into high-performance PC hardware. This GPU expansion dock links a full-sized desktop graphics card to your laptop or handheld console, giving portable machines a major graphics upgrade without the bulk of a tower.

At the heart of the unit is a built-in 850W gold-rated power supply and support for two high-speed connection methods. It’s aimed squarely at gamers, creators, and mobile power users tired of compromises.

This isn’t a basic dock. The Ugreen LinkStation supports both Oculink and USB4, letting users pick between peak speed or broader compatibility. Oculink delivers up to 64Gbps ideal for keeping latency low and bandwidth high. USB4, while slower at 40Gbps, brings the bonus of 100W reverse charging to power your laptop while connected.

Both a 0.5m Oculink and 0.8m USB4 cable come in the box, so users can plug in right out of the gate.

Open-source wireless mechanical keyboard adds track point and ZMK efficiency

The PSKeeb 5 is an open-source split wireless mechanical keyboard with a ThinkPad-style track point, knobs, and efficient ZMK firmware.

Desktop-class cards from NVIDIA, AMD, and Intel all fit up to 370mm long. And if your card stretches further, the dock’s removable aluminum top cover gives you extra headroom. Internally, the ATX 3.1-compliant PSU is ready to fuel flagship GPUs like the RTX 5090 without flinching.

Ugreen released benchmark data showing how its dock compares to a full desktop setup. An RTX 5090 hit 34,508 points on a desktop using Port Royal. When run through the Ugreen LinkStation using Oculink, the same card reached 30,164. That gap is small enough that most users won’t feel it, especially when trading a tower for mobility.

At 2,299 yuan about $325 the LinkStation isn’t a niche side project. It’s a real piece of gear for serious users. Ugreen didn’t just dip a toe into PC hardware. It threw in a heavyweight dock that connects laptops to desktop-grade muscle and made it look easy.
